Most societies used to be organised in such a way that there was naturally space and time for quiet, contemplation, reflection and silence. However these days for lots of reasons including busy ness, social media, technology, Internet, addiction to “doing” and long working hours etc etc we are just not including as much silent time in our day to day lives and this takes its toll on our mental and physical wellbeing. Delighted to see this study outlining this so clearly. Hope the rats were treated well!
